Denying The Minister Of Agriculture Lost Contact, Sahroni Called The Head Of NasDem Surya Paloh Ordering SYL To Come Home Soon

JAKARTA - The General Treasurer of the NasDem Party, Ahmad Sahroni, denied that the issue of the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo disappeared during a working visit to Europe. He said his colleagues were having an agenda that could not be abandoned.

"It doesn't go away. There are indeed active things that cannot be postponed," Sahroni told reporters, Tuesday, October 3.

Sahroni did not specify Syahrul's activities. However, he is certain to return to Indonesia because the General Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, has already received orders.

"On October 5, the Minister of Agriculture will return to the country, because the General Chair has ordered to return to his homeland immediately," he said.

Previously, news emerged that Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo disappeared during a working visit to Europe. The news circulated amid the issue that he was named a corruption suspect by the KPK.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Harvick Hasnul Qolbi, stated that he had not received any news from the Minister of Agriculture and had not yet made contact until now.

"From Spain, the latest information we received was indeed coincided with several of our echelon officials. Echelon I there were 3 people who participated, there was also Echelon II who participated in the minister's working visit, and there were several staff. Returning to their homeland is indeed each because maybe tickets are also limited. Finally separated," said Harvick.

He said he had the latest communication with SYL before the Minister of Agriculture made a working visit to Spain and also Rome.

Harvick also stated that the relevant agencies had searched for the whereabouts of the NasDem politician. "We don't know yet that this is the final position," he explained.
