Garut Fisherman Who Was Sick While At Sea Dies, His Body Has Been Evacuated

JABAR - A fisherman who was reportedly sick while looking for fish in the waters of Santolo Beach, Garut, was declared dead. The victim was evacuated by the Garut Police Satpolairud along with the community.

Head of the Garut Police Satpolairud AKP Anang Sonjaya said his party received reports of fishermen who needed evacuation assistance because they complained of illness and shortness of breath.

"The report asked for help, someone was sick," he said, a fisherman from the middle, as he went to the land sick, after being taken he turned out to be dead," he said when contacted by cell phone in Garut, Tuesday, October 3, as reported by Antara.

He said the victim was identified as Saefuloh (47), a resident of Cipaku Village, Pamalayan Village, Cikelet District who died because he was based on a medical examination, and his family's statement had a history of illness.

The victim, he continued, was confirmed not to have a marine accident, but because the illness had relapsed, then his colleague tried to return to the mainland as soon as possible so that the victim could be treated medically as soon as possible.

"That's what happened, so it's not a sea accident," he said.

He conveyed that based on the request of the victim's family, his staff immediately took the fisherman's body to the funeral home.

The family, he said, was not willing to do an autopsy on the victim's body, but chose to immediately carry out a funeral.

"As requested by his family, and his family to accept it, the incident does have a disease background," he said.
