After Making The Defendant A City Prisoner, The Composition Of The Panel Of Judges In The Corruption Case Of PT AMG's Sand Mining Was Dismantled

The composition of the Mataram District Court (PN) judges who tried the corruption case of the iron sand mine PT Anugrah Mitra Graha (AMG) in the Dedalpak Block, East Lombok, was dismantled. One of the judges was replaced.

The panel of judges chaired by Isrin Surya Kurniasih confirmed the change of member judges in the corruption case which cost the state Rp36 billion.

"Since the judges of two members are on leave, I read out a temporary replacement determination from Djoko Soepriyono to Irawan," Isrin said in a trial with the agenda of examining witnesses at the Corruption Court at the Mataram District Court, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Thursday, September 21, which was confiscated by Antara.

The member judge who was replaced in this case is an ad hoc judge who has special expertise and experience in the field of corruption.

Mataram District Court Spokesperson Kelik Trimargo confirmed the temporary change. He said Judge Djoko Soepriyono was on leave for family reasons.

"Pak Djoko is on leave because his son graduated in Surabaya," said Kelik.

He said the leave for the ad hoc corruption judge would be completed next week.

"So, for the next trial, Pak Djoko will again be a member judge for the corruption case of the iron sand mine," he said.

Meanwhile, in the corruption case of the PT AMG iron sand mine, the two defendants, respectively Po Suwandi, as Director of PT AMG and Rinus Adam Wakum as Branch Head of PT AMG in the East Lombok region.

On the way of the trial, the Mataram District Court Panel of Judges issued a letter determining the transfer of detention status to city detention for the defendant Po Suwandi on Friday, September 15.

In determining the city's detention status, the panel of judges referred to the sick certificate shown by the public prosecutor during the trial process. The court did not conduct a health check on the defendant Po Suwandi.

Meanwhile, in the follow-up trial that was held again today, the public prosecutor (JPU) presented four witnesses from the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the NTB ESDM Service.

At the trial, it was revealed that PT AMG in a mining business permit in the Dedalpak Block, East Lombok, did not have documents for the approval of the activity plan and budget (RKAB) from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in 2021 and 2022.

In addition, PT AMG is also noted not to carry out its obligations as mining investors in terms of paying fixed contributions per year to the state even though it does not have RKAB approval.
