Secretary General Of The DPR Is Busy Transferring Videos To New Accounts After Hacking Online Gambling

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the Indonesian House of Representatives Indra Iskandar confirmed that the DPR RI Youtube account that had been hacked and broadcast online gambling videos had immediately recovered on Wednesday, September 6, evening. "Infoing the YouTube account of the DPR RI has been up again as of 22.00 WIB," said Indra to reporters, Thursday, September 7. However, he continued, the Indonesian House of Representatives created a new YouTube account because old accounts could not be saved due to the hack. Currently the team is moving the video gradually. "Gradually all old videos will move to new accounts in stages, in the next few hours," he explained. "Thank you for the support," added Indra. Meanwhile, the Head of the DPR RI news bureau, Indra Pahlevi, said that the DPR RI YouTube account could be used even though it had not recovered 100 percent. "Approximately 7 days since yesterday, efforts have been made to recover 100 percent, meaning that currently the DPR's YouTube account has actually recovered but not yet 100 percent. We hope that maybe less than 7 days it should be able to recover and can be active again," said Indra at the DPR Media Center, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, September 7th. Indra said the DPR RI news bureau would strengthen the DPR's social media accounts. In addition, a task force will also be formed to anticipate similar incidents so that they do not happen again.

"Because there are also very many social media accounts in the DPR, both managed by news agencies and social media, which are managed by units including AKD-AKD, so God willing, we will strengthen it, and create a kind of task force in order to anticipate the occurrence or repeat the same thing in the future," explained Indra.
