JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has implemented a 50 percent work from home (WFH) policy for the State Civil Apparatus (ASN). Polda Metro Jaya said the policy could reduce the congestion index by 5 percent.

"Yesterday, if the calculation decreased by the Department of Transportation, it was 50 percent WFH time. Congestion decreased in the index to 4-5 percent," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman to reporters, Friday, September 1.

According to him, the Jakarta area congestion index will continue to decline. This is because the Provincial Government will add 75 percent of ASN who work from home next week.

"Well, hopefully on Monday the preparation of the ASEAN Summit, it could decrease even more," said Latif.

The DKI Provincial Government has implemented a maximum WFH policy of 50 percent from August 21 to October 21, 2023.

Especially during the ASEAN Summit, the composition of WFH ASN was increased to 75 percent from September 4 to September 7, 2013.

The implementation of WFH is in accordance with the Circular Letter (SE) of the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of DKI Jakarta Province Number 34/SE/2023 concerning the Implementation of Official Affairs from Home (WFH).
