JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) DPP Giring Ganesha said that his party wanted to stay in touch with all parties, including visiting and discussing with the PDI-P, if allowed.

"From the beginning, we really wanted to stay in touch with all parties. Whatever, if allowed, we will come to the PDIP DPP office. If allowed, we will discuss and study and gain experience. Greetings to me for Mrs. Mega," said Giring in a written statement reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 4.

This was said by Giring in response to the statement by the Chairperson of the PDI-P DPP, Puan Maharani, who expressed her views regarding the visit of the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, to the PSI DPP office.

Giring did not deny that Puan Maharani was a political figure who often communicated politically with various parties. He also said PSI really respects Puan.

"I think Ms. Puan has been doing a lot of political communication with various parties. PSI really respects Mbak Puan Maharani," he said.

Giring said PSI would visit the PDI-P. However, he did not reveal when the agenda would be carried out.

"God willing, we will come to PDIP," he said.

Separately, Puan Maharani considered positively the visit of the presidential candidate from the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, who visited the PSI DPP.

"In our opinion, the friendship between Mr. Prabowo and PSI is a very positive thing," said Puan.

Puan emphasized that the PDI-P has always opened itself up to communicate with other political parties in exploring the cooperation of the 2024 presidential election.

"The point of PDIP is to always open the door, ready to communicate, stay in touch," he said.

Previously, PSI received a visit from the presidential candidate from the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto at the PSI DPP Office, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (2/8).

After the closed meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Board of Trustees Grace Natalie said there were similarities between her party and Prabowo.

Prabowo also mentioned that he invited PSI to join the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR) for the 2024 Simultaneous Elections.

PSI once stated that it was ready to support Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate in the 2024 General Election, even as the front line.

"PSI is ready to support at the forefront of Ganjar Pranowo's candidacy," said Grace Natalie.
