For The Time Being, The Central Jakarta City Government Plans To Tie A Messy Air Cable

JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta City Government will immediately place a number of optical cables that are still transverse in the air into underground manholes. This is done so as not to interfere with the activities of the general public.

"The cables that support infrastructure, of course, are good, we want to allocate them into one manhole, in one SUJT corridor. So that later the use will not interfere with activities in general," said Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma to VOI, Friday, August 4.

To anticipate unwanted incidents, in the near future the Central Jakarta City Government will tidy up by tying the cable.

"Later, if there are cables that hang, in the short term we will try to tidy up. In the long term we will make ducting in one location," he said.

Dhany explained that actually the existence of ducting has been found in several places in Central Jakarta. Efforts to anticipate this have been made.

"Actually, there are already several places in Central Jakarta that have been running. We just need to develop it according to the targets that have been prepared by the Bina Marga Office," he said.

"Usually we if someone is peeling and releasing or has input from complaints, we usually immediately follow up. This is a good collaboration to remind each other," he added.
