Garut Police Investigate Cause Of Fire At Pasir Bajing TPA

Garut Police investigated the cause of the garbage fire that occurred at the Pasir Bajing Final Disposal Site (TPA) in Banyuresmi District, Garut Regency, West Java Province. Garut Police Chief AKBP Rohman Yonky Dilatha said that his party immediately coordinated with the management of waste disposal sites and district/village governments to check the handling of waste in facilities. Investigators also collected information from witnesses to find out the cause of the fire at the Pasir Bajing TPA. "We have also dispatched Dokkes there to check on the condition of the local village, or the community affected by smoke (due to a fire at the TPA)," he said in Garut as reported by Antara, Tuesday, July 25. The Garut Regency Environment Agency previously said that the garbage fire that had occurred at the Pasir Bajing TPA since about three weeks ago caused smoke that disturbed the community around the disposal site. The Environment Agency has dispatched officers to deal with fires at the Pasir Bajing TPA and smoke that arise.
