Many Violations, 309 Motorized Vehicles Were Acted By The Police When Passing At JLNT Kasablanka

A total of 309 motorized vehicles were taken action by the South Jakarta Metro Police in the context of the Cipta Condition Operation with the Three Pillars on the Kasablanka Non-Toll Flyover (JLNT), South Jakarta. Of the hundreds of vehicles, 75 motorbikes were secured by the police, because they used exhausts that did not match their standards.

"We secure this here, there are 75 vehicles. The more details that we ticketed were based on the data that there were no 100 SIMs, none of which brought 134 STNKs, so a total of 309 vehicles we took action against," said South Jakarta Metro Police Deputy Chief AKBP Harun to reporters, Wednesday, June 14.

Harun explained that the control was carried out starting from public reports regarding the large number of vehicles using noisy exhausts.

On that basis, his party together with the Tiga Pilar carried out control at JLNT Kasablanka, South Jakarta, Friday, June 9, at 12.00 WIB.

"We are conducting a sweep and also securing it from the end of the flyover from the Kasablanka side and also from the other side, namely near Tanah Abang," he said.

"From this incident, from our activity, we found that at that time there were several two-wheeled motorized vehicles riding this non-toll flyover," he continued.

Unstandard exhaust vehicles, Bayu continued, will be subject to Article 285 paragraph 1 Jo 106 paragraph 3 article 48 paragraph 2.

"Where the vehicle does not meet the technical requirements and deserves to run. Brake light and exhaust," he explained.

Meanwhile, articles suspected of taking action against violations that violate signs or vehicles crossing non-toll flyovers will be subject to Article 287 paragraph 1 Jo 106 paragraph 4 letters A and B of the traffic law number 22 of 2009.

"It violates government regulations or prohibits the violation of traffic and road markings, so it is subject to a fine of Rp. 500 thousand," he explained.
