The Trial Of The Indosurya KSP Case Is A Priority Supervision Of The Judicial Commission

The Judicial Commission (KY) of the Republic of Indonesia has confirmed that cases of alleged fraud and embezzlement of Indosurya Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP) funds are a priority for monitoring the institution.

"Similar to the others, we will follow the trial process of this case," said KY Chairman Mukti Fajar Nur Dewata in Padang, Wednesday, May 17.

Some time earlier, KY together with the Supreme Court (MA) discussed the possibility of implementing a mystery shop or supervisor who pretended to be the litigant for a case that was being handled.

However, it is not known for sure whether the strategy that has been implemented in several countries in supervising the judicial world has also been implemented by KY and MA in supervising the KSP Indosurya case.

"So the case (KSP Indosurya) is one of the priorities because it is big and involves many people," he said.

When asked whether the priority in monitoring the Indosurya KSP case was due to government instructions or directions, Mukti said the attention did not only come from the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam), but also from various parties including non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

"So it's not just Pak Mahfud from NGOs," he said.

On that occasion, he mentioned the role of many parties including NGOs in supervising law enforcement in Indonesia. One of them is related to the case of postponement of general elections (elections) which was knocked by judges at the Central Jakarta District Court some time ago.

"The case that was decided by the Central Jakarta District Court was even friends of NGOs who reported it to KY," he said.

However, before NGOs came to KY, the institution actually knew and thought it would evaluate or conduct a study regarding the decision of the Central Jakarta District Court Panel of Judges.
