The National Police Chief Is Waiting For The Decision Of The KPK Council Regarding The Status Of Brigadier General Endar Priantoro

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo is still waiting for the KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas) decision regarding Brigadier General Endar Priantoro's status in an anti-corruption agency. The reason is that this matter is considered to have become an internal problem.

Previously, Brigadier General Endar Priantoro complained to Firli Bahuri and Cahya H Harefa as the Chair and Secretary General of the KPK to Dewas. The complaint was based on alleged ethical violations in removing his position as Director of Investigation.

"That because this is an internal problem at the KPK that is currently being resolved at the Dewas, we'll just have to wait," Sigit told reporters, Thursday, April 6.

According to him, the National Police has made efforts by writing that Brigadier General Endar remains on duty at the KPK. The letter contains the extension of the assignment period which was sent on March 29.

"What is clear is that we were in a position where of course we had sent a letter for Mr. Endar's extension, but of course we will see," he said.

However, the four-star general did not say anything and only smiled widely when asked about whether or not there was communication between Firli Bahuri regarding the placement of Brigadier General Endar Priantoro.

Brigadier General Endar Priantoro is a former Director of Investigation of the KPK who was honorably dismissed as Letter of the Secretary General of the KPK dated March 31, 2023. The letter from the Secretary General of the KPK was addressed to the National Police regarding the face of Endar Priantoro to the National Police institution on March 30, 2023.

However, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo wrote back to the Chairman of the KPK Firli Bahuri regarding the answer to the return of Polri members to serve in the KPK environment.

The National Police Chief in the response letter registered with Number: B/2725/IV/KEP./2023 as of April 3, 2023, maintains or assigns Brigadier General Endar Priantoro as Director of KPK Investigation.

In the reply letter, Sigit conveyed to the KPK leadership the re-handling of Brigadier General Pol. Endar Priantoro who carried out his assignment as Director of Investigation of the KPK.
