JAKARTA - Defendant Kuat Ma'ruf threw a metal sign at the public prosecutor (JPU) shortly after the panel of judges handed down a sentence of 15 years in prison in the premeditated murder case of Yosua alias Brigadier J.

The moment of the Kuat Ma'ruf's metal greeting occurred when the trial was officially closed by the panel of judges after reading out the verdict.

Then, Ferdy Sambo's driver approached his legal advisers. He had talked for a while.

After he finished speaking, Kuat Ma'ruf went to the exit which was adjacent to the line of prosecutors.

At that moment, Kuat Ma'ruf threw a metal salute at the prosecutor with his right hand. Eventually, he left the courtroom.

Kuat Ma'ruf also stated that he would appeal the 15-year prison sentence.

"I will file an appeal," said Kuat.

With eyes that looked red, Kuat said that the reason for filing an appeal was that he had no intention of killing Brigadier J.

In fact, he was not in the least bit involved in the murder plan hatched by Ferdy Sambo.

"Appeal, because I didn't kill and I didn't plan," said Kuat.
