JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigated eight private parties related to the alleged corruption that ensnared Papuan Governor Lukas Enembe. They were asked to testify as witnesses.

The head of the KPK News Section, and the eight witnesses, were questioned by investigators on Saturday, November 5 at the Mako Brimob of the Papua Police. The witness was private, named Rijanto Lakka; Commissioner of PT Tabi Bangun Papua Bonny Pirono; PT Tabi Bangun Papua employee Fredik Banne; and Finance Staff of PT Tabi Bangun Papua Meike.

Then there is also the staff of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Yani Adiningrum; Director of CV. Walibhu Irianti Yuspita; Commander CV. Walibhu Razwel Patrick Williams Bonay; and Staff CV. Walibhu Irma Imelda.

"The witnesses were present and their knowledge was studied, among others, related to the participation of several private companies in working on various projects in the Papua Provincial Government," Ali told reporters in his written statement, Monday, November 7.

Ali did not specify what projects were being built with the private sector. However, he believes the information given by the witnesses before the investigators will shed light on the allegations of corruption that ensnared Lukas Enembe.

As previously reported, Lukas Enembe has been named a suspect in alleged corruption by the KPK. He was then questioned by the KPK on Thursday, November 3, in Jayapura.

At that time, the KPK team consisting of independent doctors and investigators was present, led by KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri. Arriving in Jayapura, Firli also had a chance to talk to Lukas.

During the conversation, Firli asked about Luke's condition and spoke for about 15 minutes. Even so, Luke's examination did not last long because he was in a sick condition.
