JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to examine witnesses related to the alleged corruption that ensnared Papuan Governor Lukas Enembe. Head of the Procurement Service Unit (ULP) in Papua Noldy Taroreh.

Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said Noldy was questioned at the Papua Police Mobile Brigade Headquarters on Saturday, November 5 yesterday. Noldy was asked about the implementation of a number of projects in Bumi Cendrawasih.

"Noldy Taroreh, the witness was present and his knowledge was studied, among others, related to the implementation of several infrastructure work projects in the Papua Provincial Government," Ali told reporters in a written statement, Monday, November 7.

Ali did not specify what projects the investigators were investigating. However, it is believed that Noldy's information is needed to shed light on the allegations of Lukas's presumptuous practice.

In addition, investigators also examined the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Papua Province, Ridwan Ruikutun. From the examination, the investigator will explore the main duties and functions of his position.

"The witness was present and investigated, among others, his knowledge related to the main duties and functions of the government in the Papua Provincial Government," he said.

As previously reported, Lukas Enembe has been named a suspect in alleged corruption by the KPK. He was then questioned by the KPK on Thursday, November 3, in Jayapura.

At that time, the KPK team consisting of independent doctors and investigators was present, led by KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri. Arriving in Jayapura, Firli also had a chance to talk to Lukas.

During the conversation, Firli asked about Lukas's condition and spoke for about 15 minutes. Even so, Lukas's examination did not last long because he was in a sick condition.
