PAPUA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigative team and the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) independent team of doctors will meet Papua Governor Lukas Enembe today, Thursday 3 November.

Papuan Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Mathius Fakhiri said his party would accompany the KPK and IDI teams to visit Lukas' private residence in Jayapura. The KPK and IDI teams will first visit the Papua Regional Police.

"I will accompany the KPK team when they meet with Governor Enembe," said Fakhiri in Jayapura, as quoted from Antara, Thursday, November 3 morning.

As previously reported, the Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Karyoto said the KPK and IDI team would check the health condition of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe this week.

"God willing, we will go there this week," Karyoto told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, November 2.

Karyoto ensured that the KPK had coordinated with local officials before dispatching the team. KPK anticipates things that are not desirable.

"Hopefully in the near future it can be carried out (inspection, ed) properly without any obstacles," he said.

Even so, Karyoto did not explain the details of the meeting between the KPK and IDI teams with Lukas Enembe. He only ensured that the investigation into the alleged corruption against Lukas would continue.

"It means, we are collecting evidence," he said.
