PKS Builds Communication With Golkar, NasDem Sets Limits Until November 2022: Can Still Shake It Up

JAKARTA - The meeting point has not yet been reached, so NasDem, Democrats and PKS have not officially announced a coalition. The delay in the declaration even made PKS openly establish communication with the Golkar Party.

Regarding PKS's communication with Golkar, NasDem Party DPP Chairman Willy Aditya responded casually. According to him, the formation of a coalition to face the 2024 presidential election is still very dynamic.

"Everyone is still communicating with one another. What is the guarantee that the existing coalition will depart? The captain doesn't exist yet. It can still be reshuffled," Willy told reporters, Thursday, September 29.

The deputy chairman of the DPR Baleg emphasized that all political dynamics ahead of the 2024 presidential election could still change. However, NasDem, Willy said, has a deadline until next November regarding the coalition map to prepare for the 2024 presidential election.

"Everything is still very dynamic ahead of the presidential election. NasDem itself has a deadline of November 2022 regarding preparation for the presidential election," said Willy.

If cooperation with PKS is canceled, he continued, the coalition plan will automatically disband. This is because the combined votes of NasDem and Democrats have not been sufficient to meet the threshold for the nomination of a presidential candidate for the 2024 presidential election.

"If it's not enough, just disband. That's what I call dynamics," he said.

Even now, said Willy, NasDem does not rule out the possibility of establishing communication with other parties until the preparation limit for the 2024 presidential election in November.

"Oh NasDem is also open for other communications," he said.
