PDIP Gathers Regional Heads, Megawati Will Give Special Directions

JAKARTA - The PDI-P (PDIP) has summoned its 93 regional heads to gather today, Thursday, September 22. The activity which was held for this consolidation will be attended by PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"General Chairwoman Megawati Soekarnoputri will give special directions to regional heads," said PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto in a written statement, Thursday, September 22.

Hasto said this activity was held at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta. There are a number of objectives to be achieved, including the consolidation of regional head policies to respond to current challenges.

In addition, this activity was held so that regional heads supported by PDIP had a fast and precise program. This step is important to face economic challenges due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and global pressures from the Russo-Ukrainian war.

"The meeting will start at 10.00 WIB led directly by the General Chairperson. At the same time she will provide direction," said Hasto.

Later, there will be several other figures who will fill the activity. They are Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini and Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN RB) Azwar Anas.

"The Secretary General of the PDI-P together with a number of ministers such as Mrs. Risma and Mr. Anas will also deliver presentations at today's meeting," said Hasto.

In addition to the regional head, Hasto said that this activity was also attended by the central board of the PDIP DPP including Olly Dondokambey who is also the Governor of North Sulawesi, and Said Abdullah who currently serves as the Chairman of the DPR's Budget Agency.

"The General Chairperson has always insisted that the Party cannot sleep and must continue its downward movement," he said.

"For this moment, it is devoted to regional heads so that it is hoped that more policies will be issued that have a positive impact on the community," concluded Hasto.
