JAKARTA - A teenager was arrested after he allegedly tweeted that an item would 'explode' at Singapore's The Float @ Marina Bay, where the National Day Parade was held Tuesday.
Singapore Police received information on Tuesday 9 August at 19:10 local time, someone had posted on Twitter, mentioning an item would 'explode' under the 27th row seats of The Float @ Marina Bay.
Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department and Police Division Ang Mo Kio were able to identify an 18-year-old teenager and arrested him within two hours of the crime being reported.
"Initial investigation revealed that no suspicious items were found at The Float @ Marina Bay. Two cellphones have been confiscated as evidence," police said Wednesday, adding an investigation was ongoing.
It is known, more than 25,000 people attended the National Day Parade last Tuesday
