SERANG - The Banten Police Mobile Brigade (Satbrimob) sprayed disinfectant in order to prevent the occurrence of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) in animals at the Dedi and Darmajaya farms, in Sukalaksana Village, Curug District, Serang City, Wednesday, May 18.

The activity of spraying disinfectants on livestock was led directly by Head Unit 1 Subden 3 KBR Satbrimob Banten Police, 2nd Insp. Aris Widodo and accompanied by 8 personnel from Den Gegana Satbrimob Banten Police.

Dansat Brimob Banten Police Grand Commissioner Pol Dede Rojudin said this activity was a follow-up to the emphasis by the Banten Police Chief Inspector General Pol Prof. Dr. Rudy Heriyanto regarding the anticipation of FMD in animals in the Banten Police jurisdiction.

"Banten Police Satbrimob spraying disinfectant on livestock to prevent Mouth and Nail Disease (FMD) in animals," said Dede Rojudin in his statement, Wednesday, May 18.

The equipment and vehicles used by the Banten Police Satbrimob personnel in spraying disinfectants on livestock are chemical, biological, and radioactive (KBR) cars, prime alerts, level C clothes, boots, medical masks, latex gloves, and goggles.

"This activity is an effort and readiness of the Banten Police in anticipating Foot and Mouth Diseases (FMD) in animals in the Banten Regional Police legal area," explained Dede Rojudin.

Dede Rojudin hopes that through spraying disinfectant on animals, it can prevent the transmission and spread of Foot and Mouth Diseases (FMD) in animals.

"We will routinely carry out disinfectant spraying activities on farms, in the hope that it can prevent the emergence of Foot and Mouth Diseases (FMD) in livestock," he concluded.
