Stop Inheriting Garbage, Former TNI Commander Yudo Margono Distributes School Uniforms From Recycling Plastic Waste
JAKARTA - Former TNI Commander Admiral TNI (ret) Yudo Margono again echoed his concern about stopping giving away trash, instead recycling waste into basic materials for various needs.
That was said by Admiral TNI (ret) Yudo at the launch of the School Children Care Community Movement (Gemas) which was followed by the distribution of school uniforms made from plastic waste recycling materials for children in need.
The making of uniforms made from plastic waste recycling stems from the concern of Admiral TNI (ret) Yudo against pollution at sea, especially plastic waste, when he was still the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy.
In collaboration with young people who care about the environment, Admiral TNI (ret) Yudo also campaigned for the "Stop Wariskan Sampah" movement.
"From the plastic waste collected, it was then produced into school uniforms which have also been used by the Indonesian Navy, especially the Navy Academy (AAL) Surabaya," he explained on the sidelines of distributing uniforms together with the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Golden Indonesian Community Forum (FORMAS) Hashim Djojohadikusumo in the RRI Jakarta Hall, Monday, in a written statement Tuesday, December 31.
"We are trying to recycle plastic waste into clothes," he said.
Admiral TNI (ret) Yudo hopes that in the future these recycled uniforms can be distributed throughout Indonesia to school children in need.

In addition to the plastic waste recycling uniform, on this occasion, the drone made from plastic waste recycled by the nation's children under the name Aruna 45 was also demonstrated.
This is a continuation of the development of product products made from plastic waste recycling. This unmanned aircraft has military specifications with a cruising range of 300 Kilometers, at a speed of 100 km/hour, can fly for 5 hours. This aircraft body is made from plastic recycled composites.
The plan is that Admiral TNI (ret) Yudo will directly review the flying capabilities of Aruna 45 in the surveillance, Intelligent, Recognition training scenario involving the Indonesian Armed Forces (KRI) Warship. Later, Aruna 45 could be a support system in the operation to maintain the sovereignty of Indonesian marine areas more effectively.
