BAIC Ensures BJ30 Hybrid Launches At GIIAS 2025 For The Fill Of BJ40 Plus And X55 II Vacants

JAKARTA - PT JHL International Automotive as the agency holding the BAIC brand in Indonesia, plans to expand its model in the country. One of the lines to be introduced is the BJ30 Hybrid.

Chief Operating Officer of BAIC Indonesia, Dhani Yahya confirmed that the car will be launched at the upcoming 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

"BJ30 Hybrid confirmation will be at GIIAS next year," said Dhani when met by the media at Pantai Indah Kapuk 2, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 17.

Dhani said this car would be positioned in the middle between BJ40 and X55 II. Unfortunately, he did not provide details on the price of this SUV.

"We'll see, this car is positioned to fill the vacancy of BJ40 and X55 II," added Dhani.

This hybrid BJ30 is included in the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment and has begun production. The model was first introduced at the Beijing Auto Show and has now been produced in the right steering version.

In terms of specifications, BJ30 hybrid appears with a dashing and modern boxy design. This car has a length of 4,730 mm, a width of 1,910 mm, and a height of 1,790 mm, giving a strong impression that is suitable for various terrains.

For performance matters, BAIC BJ30 is hybrid equipped with a 1,500 cc engine, 4 cylinders capable of producing 210 kW of power and 685 Nm of peak torque.

The machine is combined with a DHT Hybrid transmission that distributes power to all four wheels, providing responsive and efficient performance.
