WhatsApp Rapidly Tests Voice Message Reply Feature

JAKARTA WhatsApp, a messaging platform under Meta, has launched the ability to quickly reply to voice messages. Through this new feature, WhatsApp users do not need to reply manually.

Based on WABetaInfo's findings, the voice reply button is quickly available on WhatsApp beta version 2.24.26.6. To access this new feature, you must register in the beta program or wait until the feature is released.

The voicemail reply button will appear next to the voice message sent by other users. Even if the icon is made transparent, users can still see the buttons clearly. Once the buttons are knocked, the voicemail feature will be immediately activated.

You can immediately record the message you want to convey, then tap the send button after completion. This is an instant way to reply to voice messages because previously users had to tap the voice message icon next to the typing column.

It is not known whether WhatsApp will add an option to quickly disable the voicemail reply button. The reason is, some users may press the icon accidentally so that the feature can feel annoying.

For now, the voicemail reply feature is quickly only available to a small fraction of WhatsApp beta users. Going forward, this feature will be released to all beta testers before launching in a more stable version.

However, there is still the possibility that this feature is canceled for release. During testing, WhatsApp will receive feedback from all its users. This feedback will be taken into consideration whether they will launch the feature or not.
