U-17 World Cup Fake Ticket Seller Arrested In Surabaya
SURAKARTA - Subsatgas Gakkum Operasi Aman Bacuya Satgas Pamwil Jawa Tengah menangkap terduga pelaku pemalekan tiket pertandingan Dunia FIFA U-17. Tersangka berinisial MS (21), pria warga Sawahan Kota Surabaya. MS berhasil dibekukkan petugas pada Kamis, 23 November, lalu sekitar pukul 04.00 WIB.
Officers made the arrest, after a resident of Kliwon Market Surakarta with the initials AK felt cheated because he could not enter the match at Manahan Stadium because the ticket barcode he bought was not detected
"The victim then reported to the Surakarta Police. Subsatgas Gakkum Operasi Aman Bacuya Satgaspamwil Jateng immediately conducted an in-depth investigation and finally arrested the perpetrators in Surabaya," said Deputy Chief of the Central Java Pamwil Ops Safe for Bacuya 2023 Kombes Dwi Subagio in a written statement received, MInggu, November 26.
He explained that officers were trying to track and arrest the perpetrators as soon as possible, so that the victims of fraud in the case would not increase
"There are still semi-final and final matches. Tickets are increasingly rare for consumers, so the potential for ticket forgery by criminals is getting bigger. So, decisive and fast steps are taken so that victims of this type of fraud do not increase," he said.
Regarding the chronology of the incident, Kombes M Anwar Nasir, who is the Head of Sub-Satgas Gakkum, explained that AK's victim was initially looking for tickets for the last 16 matches between Spain and Japan. After trying to search the internet, he found a Facebook account that offered to sell match tickets at a low price.
"Then the victim contacted the perpetrator through the WA number written by the perpetrator on the Facebook page. The price offered by the perpetrator was Rp. 120 thousand, cheaper than the original ticket price," he said.

"Then the victim and the perpetrator transacted, the victim transferred money and the perpetrator sent a fake ticket with a barcode. The two promised to meet at the Manahan stadium," added Kombes Anwar.
However, when he came to Manahan, the perpetrator's number could not be reached. The victim then contacted the ticket checking officer and it was stated that the ticket barcode did not match the valid ticket.
Feeling cheated, the victim reported his case to the Surakarta Police, which then coordinated with the Gakkum Operasi Aman Bacuya Task Force.
"The report came in on November 20, the officers immediately carried out an intensive investigation and arrested the suspect three days later, in Surabaya," explained Kombes Anwar
For his actions, the perpetrator MS was named a suspect by the police for violating Article 378 of the Criminal Code or Article 45 A paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 28 paragraph (1) of Law 19 of 2016 concerning amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions.
When asked, the perpetrator MS admitted that the money from his crime was used for fun.
