CoinGecko Acquires NFT Data Information Provider Company, Zash
JAKARTA – CoinGecko, a leading crypto price data aggregator company officially acquired Zash, an NFT (Non-Fungible Token) data analysis company. Zash provides NFT data on various platforms on-chain.
Coingecko's move to acquire Zash is considered to be in line with the crypto aggregator's vision. The reason is, CoinGecko is known as a provider of comprehensive crypto asset data information to users in various countries.
"This acquisition is in line with our commitment and dedication to providing extraordinary value to the crypto community, starting with a unified token and NFT market data offering," said TM Lee, CEO and co-founder of CoinGecko, November 22, 2023.
After successfully acquiring Zash, CoinGecko will reportedly start adding Zash support starting in 2024. CoinGecko plans to integrate Zash NFT data into its Application Programming Interface (API) in the second quarter of next year.
This step aims to provide access to users so they can find out information related to NFTs directly on CoinGecko. Later, CoinGecko users will be able to find out the latest NFT price data.

It doesn't stop there, this crypto data aggregator will also offer important data services related to NFTs, namely company-level NFT data, indexed NFT data, NFT metadata, and NFT trading history on various leading networks such as Ethereum, Polygon, Binance Smart Chain, Solana, and Bitcoin Ordinals. The company will also provide NFT, Blend, and X2Y2 lending data indexing offerings.
For additional information, Zash was founded by Parit Patel and Efe Surekli in 2021. Zash is a London-based company that has become an on-chain NFT data analytics company that collects information on more than 1 million diverse NFT collections and various digital art markets.

At the same time, Zash founder Parit Patel assesses that the NFT market will continue to grow because currently NFT is still in its early stages. He also explained that NFTs will have new uses as the market develops. Coingecko Chief Operating Officer (COO), Bobby Ong, said the same thing. According to Ong, NFTs will continue to innovate not only in the GameFi and PFP fields but also beyond. Therefore, NFT collections will again attract the interest of investors and digital art collectors.
