OTT Acting Regent Of Sorong Allegedly Related To BPK Audit In 2023

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua allegedly related to an audit by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). This action was carried out on Sunday night, November 12.

"On suspicion of corruption, conditioning the findings in the Examination with the Specific Goals of the BPK for the Southwest Papua Province area for Fiscal Year 2023," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Monday, November 13.

Ali said that from the silent operation there were five people who were entangled.

Among them are three Sorong Regency officials, one of whom is suspected to be Acting Regent of Sorong Yan Piet Mosso and two BPK examiners representing Southwest Papua Province.

The five people are still being investigated. Ali has not specified when they will be taken to the KPK's Red and White Building.

"The KPK team is still investigating and we will immediately inform you of the progress," he concluded.
