KPK- Metro Jaya Police Coordination Meeting Will Be Rescheduled, But Still Held At The Red And White House
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and Metro Jaya Police canceled their coordination meeting on the handling of the alleged extortion case against the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL), today. The meeting will be rescheduled.
"But there is indeed a letter, (Metro Jaya Police) cannot attend and will be rescheduled later", said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Friday, November 10.
When it is rescheduled, Ali said that the coordination meeting will still be held at the Red and White Building. Because, in this case, the KPK is the party that invites it.
"Of course the next place to coordinate is at the KPK's Red and White Building as the party that invites the coordination process", he said.
On the other hand, Ali said that the coordination meeting that will be held with the Metro Jaya Police and Bareskrim Polri did not mean that the KPK agreed to the supervision request.
Because, to get to the supervision agreement, there are stages that must be carried out according to the law.
"To get to supervision, of course, must be carried out in coordination first. Because there are conditions in the Presidential Regulation and then in the KPK Law itself, how a case must be supervised", said Ali.
Meanwhile, Metro Jaya Police asked the KPK to reschedule the coordination meeting which is planned to be held today, Friday, November 10.
This is because investigators from the Special Criminal Directorate of Metro Jaya Police have an investigation into the alleged extortion case against the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
"Investigators convey that for the invitation to the coordination and hearing meeting, they can be rescheduled", said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak.
