Invite Company Bosses To Review The Maize Of The Minister Of Trade And East Kalimantan, Jokowi Talks About The Archipelago Forest City
KALTIM - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) invited a number of company leaders to review the Mentawir Nursery in Penajam Paser Utara (PPU) Regency, East Kalimantan (Kaltim), Thursday 2 November.
Together with the company's leaders, the head of state walked along the nursery while explaining a number of issues related to the nursery and development of the capital city of Nusantara (IKN).
"This is what I often tell you that we want to build a green Kalimantan and Nusantara forest city, so we start with this," Jokowi told the company leaders while reviewing the seeds at the location, as conveyed in a statement from the Press, Media, and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat.
The President then explained that various types of plant seeds in Persemaian Mentawir were prepared to be planted in the IKN area. "We will prepare it and it will be planted later in the archipelago," said Jokowi.
On a separate occasion, the President Director of Kompas Gramedia Lilik Oetama who participated in the activity revealed that he was amazed to see the nurseries that would produce plant seeds to green IKN.
"It's amazing, the first time I've been here is really good, yes, really great, extraordinary," he said.

Lilik is also optimistic that IKN will become a greener new capital city with the support of the supply of plant seeds from the Mentawir Farmers.
"If I see all of this, I am sure that the new capital city of IKN will be greener, yes, more green. We can see from the plants prepared for the capital city, I think it will be very good later," he said.
When reviewing the issue, President Jokowi was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Ad Interim Erick Thohir, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya, Head of IKN Authority Bambang Susantono, and Deputy Head of IKN Authority Dhony Rahajoe.
