South Kalimantan Police Confiscate 10 Kilograms Of Methamphetamine In Banjarmasin
The Directorate of Drug Investigation of the South Kalimantan Police (Kalsel) confiscated 10,139.51 grams or approximately 10 kilograms of methamphetamine from a dealer arrested in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.
"The suspect with the initials HR (27) was arrested on Tuesday (24/10) on Jalan Gatot Subroto, Banjarmasin," said Director of Drug Investigation at the South Kalimantan Police, Kombes Kelana Jaya, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 31.
The crime of drug trafficking was revealed after the Sub-Directorate 1 team of the Narcotics Directorate of the South Kalimantan Police led by AKBP Meilki Bharata received information from the public about a plan to sell methamphetamine.
Finally, the officers conducted an investigation and monitored the situation around the location where it was suspected that a meeting would occur between the dealer and the buyer. After the officers saw the suspicious movements of a man riding a motorbike known to be the reported party, the officers immediately carried out an ambush.
As a result, it was found in a backpack carried by the suspect five large packages of crystal methamphetamine powder with a gross weight of 5,190 grams and 50 other packages weighing 4,949.51 grams in a shopping bag stored at the front of his motorcycle.

"We are still investigating the network of dealers who control the suspect," explained Kelana.
For his actions in being involved in a drug trafficking network, the suspect, a resident of Banjarmasin, was charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) Subs Article 112 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
