Prosecutor's Office Names 5 Corruption Suspects In South Sumatra Student Dormitory
The South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has officially named five people as suspects in the alleged corruption case in the sale of assets of the Batang Hari Sembilan Foundation in the form of the South Sumatra Student Dormitory in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
The head of the South Sumatra Attorney General's Office, Sarjono Turin, explained that the five suspects were intellectual actors behind the sale of the assets of South Sumatra student dormitories in Yogyakarta.
The five suspects consisted of two people who had been declared dead, namely the initials AS and MR. While the other three suspects, namely the initials ZT, EM and DK.
"After assessing the sufficient evidence in the investigation of the case, the South Sumatra Attorney General's Office has named five suspects," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 30.
The suspects, especially the last three names, have been examined by witnesses, but after further investigation, it turned out that the suspects were involved in the alleged corruption case in the sale of dorm assets that had been established since 1950.
Until now, the South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office of Special Investigation Team is still carrying out the potential number of calculating state financial losses.
"Currently, the South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office of Special Investigation Team has summoned and examined 46 witnesses," he said.

The suspect was charged with Primair Article 2 Paragraph (1) or Subsidiary Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the first Criminal Code.
The South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office will continue to explore evidence related to the involvement of other parties who can be held criminally responsible.
