Reviewing The Location Of The Rawa Cat TPA Fire, The Coordinating Ministry For Maritime Affairs Will Provide Sarpras Assistance

TANGERANG - The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves) visited the Cat Raw TPA, Neglasari, Tangerang City, which experienced a fire. However, until now the fire has not been extinguished.

Deputy for Coordination of Environmental and Forestry Management at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Nani Hendiarti, said 35 hectares in the area were burned.

He said he would facilitate the facilities and infrastructure (sarpras) needed for a more optimal fire management process.

"Our agenda here is to review and identify what needs are needed to help deal with fires," said Nani, Tuesday, October 24.

Nani assessed that the fire that hit the Rawa Cat TPA, Neglasari, Tangerang City was considered fast in handling it. According to him, if you reflect on other areas, the blackout can take longer.

"This is fast, yes, because when viewed from other regions, it usually takes more time and some are even smaller than here, it also takes longer for handling it," he said.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Tangerang, Arief R Wismansyah, appreciated and proposed to the deputy regarding the urgency of implementing PSEL as one of the steps to overcome the fires that occurred in a number of TPA in Indonesia.

"Yes, because not only here but also in 20 other TPAs in Indonesia also experienced the same thing. That's why it needs to be realized immediately." said Arief.
