Hadi Tjahjanto Committed to Supporting the Acceleration of PWI Asset Certification in the Regions

JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Hadi Tjahjanto fully supports the acceleration of asset certification of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) throughout Indonesia. This step aims to strengthen the legality of ownership of PWI land assets, which is an important step in protecting the organization's rights.

Hadi Tjahjanto emphasized the readiness of the ATR/BPN Ministry to provide assistance to PWIs in the process of certifying their assets. PWI, as the oldest professional journalist organization in Indonesia, has a vital role in conveying information to the public.

"The Ministry of ATR/BPN is ready to help ensure the legality of ownership of PWI land assets. We encourage PWIs to immediately submit applications for certification, and we are ready to speed up the process," said Hadi Tjahjanto when talking with the Head of Central PWI Hendry Ch. Bangun, Secretary General Sayid Iskandarsyah, and Secretary for Assets Syaiful Amri at the ATR/BPN Ministry Office in Jakarta, Monday, October 23 2023.

"In this process, we will provide support to PWIs in strengthening the legality of ownership of their land assets. Coordinate directly with the Regional Office (Kanwil) and the local Land Office, so that PWI asset certification can be immediately processed according to applicable regulations," added Hadi, who accompanied by the Secretary General of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Suyus Windayana, and Expert Staff to the Minister of ATR/BPN Yulia Jaya Nirmawati.

Hadi also advised PWIs to register their land at the Land Office in their respective areas and renew the land certificate if it expired.

"When the requirements are complete and the land is physically controlled, immediately register the land assets with the local National Land Agency (BPN). These efforts can be carried out by PWI independently, and we at the Ministry of ATR/BPN will provide full support," explained Hadi Tjahjanto.

Hendry Ch Bangun, Chair of the Central PWI, responded positively to the support provided by the Ministry of ATR/BPN.

"We express our gratitude for the support provided by the Ministry of ATR/BPN. We will immediately coordinate with PWI at the Provincial and Regency/City levels to take the next steps according to the Minister's direction," said Hendry Ch Bangun.

PWI hopes that this collaboration can result in a written agreement or Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the future. It is hoped that this will expedite the PWI asset certification program in the regions without causing friction or disputes in the future.

"Through the MoU between PWI and the Ministry of ATR/BPN, we hope to strengthen cooperation and assist the government in disseminating information about ongoing priority programs," concluded Hendry Ch Bangun after meeting with Minister of ATR/BPN Hadi Tjahjanto.
