Southwest Aceh Prosecutor's Office Auctions Dozens Of Confiscated Cellphones, Prices Below IDR 1 Million
The Aceh Barat Daya District Attorney's Office auctioned dozens of cell phones confiscated from various criminal cases that already have permanent legal force.
Head of the Southwest Aceh Kejari Heru Widjatmiko through the Head of the Management Section for Rampasan Evidence and Goods (PB3R) Melta Variza said the state's booty in the form of communication tools was auctioned in public, totaling 14 units.
"All types of Android. What we are auctioning today are 14 units. The nominal is below IDR 1 million per unit," said Melta as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 23.
A total of 14 mobile phones that were auctioned were evidence of the state's loot from a number of cases handled since May 2023.
"(Cases) are dominant in narcotics cases. There are also confiscated results from the gambling case, but most narcotics cases," he said.
According to him, the auction of the state confiscated in public is regulated in the regulation of the minister of finance and the regulations of the prosecutor's office. The regulation states that every confiscated state item with a value below Rp35 million is auctioned in public.
"The price fixing is regulated by the authorities and this also has a positive impact on increasing Non-Tax State Revenue," he said.
