KPU Rehearsal For Registration Of Presidential And Vice Presidential Candidates
The General Election Commission (KPU) held a clean prayer to welcome the presidential and vice-presidential candidates when the registration of candidates for the 2024 presidential election at the KPU office, Menteng, Central Jakarta.
The clean rehearsal was carried out in the hall and courtyard of the KPU office starting at 14.50 WIB, Wednesday, October 18.
Based on ANTARA's monitoring at the location, there is a stage that will be used by prospective presidential election participants. Then, the stands for supporters of the presidential and vice presidential candidates have also been neatly arranged.
In addition, internal security personnel (pamdal) have also been prepared to maintain order during registration.
Based on the composition of the event read by the host, the opening of the registration of candidates for the 2024 presidential election was opened by singing the anthem Indonesia Raya and Mars Pemilu 2024.
Furthermore, the presidential-cawapres candidate pair together with supporters with a maximum of 30 people are invited to enter the KPU building.
Meanwhile, a maximum of 170 other supporters are welcome to wait at the stage stands.
The pair of candidates for the 2024 presidential election will also submit registration requirements documents to the KPU leadership in the hall, then go out to the stage to convey their vision and mission.

The KPU has issued KPU Regulation (PKPU) Number 19 of 2023 concerning the Registration of Presidential Candidates and Vice Presidential Candidates for the 2024 General Election. In the PKPU, the registration of presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2024 presidential election is opened on 19-25 October 2023 at the KPU RI Office, Jakarta.
Registration time on October 19-24, 2023 is open at 08.00-16.00 WIB, while on October 25 it is closed until 23.59 WIB.
Until the day before the registration stage for prospective presidential election participants in 2024, the KPU had received a notification letter from two coalition parties, namely the Coalition for Amendments consisting of the NasDem, PKB, and PKS parties, as well as the PDI-P coalition, PPP, Hanura Party, and Perindo.
