To be Happier, Here Are 7 Tips for Respecting Yourself
JAKARTA - When you learn to respect yourself, gradually your self-esteem will become higher. And the impact of other people's words will not easily affect you. Apart from that, you will also find it easier to make friends, enjoy being with other people more, and feel happier with your condition.
So, how much do you value yourself? If not, take a moment and do something nice for yourself.
Accept your own strengths and weaknesses
There is not a single creature that is made perfect in the world. Therefore, love yourself as you are. Accept all your weaknesses and strengths within yourself. Remember, everyone is created with their own uniqueness.
Regular exercise
It can help you relieve stress and even help your body be healthy. Don't let yourself suffer from physical, emotional and mental illnesses. Do regular exercise, consume a balanced and healthy diet, drink enough water and fluids, get enough rest and sleep, take vacations and relax, and always meditate. Be kind to yourself by maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Pamper yourself
The body never feels tired and stressed, so it needs to be pampered once in a while. You can set aside pampering time away from everyone or everything that makes you tired. Get a massage or spa treatment. It could also be a facial treatment, a new haircut, coloring your hair, or pampering yourself with a refreshing cup of tea. These things allow you to relax and help you see a better version of yourself.
Do something silly
This will bring out the inner child in your personality and give you a feeling of happiness. For example, playing with soap bubbles, making cakes, observing clouds and designing their shapes, and playing with pets or cars.
Take a walk in the middle of nature
Sometimes you forget to pay attention to the world unfolding around you. Observing nature will make you feel better and calmer. Take a walk in the park. Observe and look at the trees, grass, sky, then breathe.

When you make a mistake, be the first to forgive yourself and not blame it. Be kind to yourself by giving yourself the forgiveness you deserve. Don't be too hard on yourself.
Make time
Making time for yourself will make your mind fresh again. In fact, taking just five minutes to close your eyes and focus your mind can help you feel better. However, it would be better if you could spend more time focusing on yourself and what needs to be done.
