Defeat The US, Julian Nagelsmann's Sweet Debut In The German National Team
JAKARTA The German national team won 3-1 over the host of the United States in an international test match. This victory marked Julian Nagelsmann's sweet debut with the Panser Team.
In the match which took place at Rentschler Field Stadium, East Hartford, Connecticut, USA, Sunday (15/10) in the morning WIB, the hosts who took the lead through Christian Pulisic had to admit Germany's toughness through goals from Ilkay Gundogan, Niclas Fullkrug and Jamal Musiala.
The game was interesting because both teams played a fast style of football that entertained the audience. The host supporters cheered in the 27th minute after Pulisic found the German goal guarded by Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The AC Milan winger broke into the left flank and cut-in into the German penalty box. After tricking Antonio Rudiger, Pulisic kicked the ball into the top corner unattainable to Ter Stegen.

Unfortunately, the advantage did not last long. Julian Nagelsmann's team managed to equalize the score in the 39th minute. The goal was preceded by Leroy Sane's move which made one or two passes with Ilkay Gundogan. Even though Sane failed to outwit Matt Turner, the ball fell to Gundogan's feet which immediately struck the US goal. The first half ended in a 1-1 draw.
After the break, Germany began to dominate the game. The dominance of the visitors paid off in the 58th minute. Jamal Musiala and Niclas Fullkrug's neat cooperation made the US back line open. This made Fullkrug easily break into the Turner goal for the second time.
The combination of Musiala and Fullkrug is again a nightmare for the home team. Dribling amazed Musiala, followed by a pass on Fullkrug, made Musiala easily tap-in against the US goal after receiving feedback from Fullkrug.
The 3-1 score for the advantage of the German national team over the US lasted until the game was over. A very meaningful victory for Julian Nagelsmann who replaced Hansi Flick after a series of poor results by the Panser Team.
