Forest Fires On Mount Agung Reach 715 Hectares, Fire Points Confirmed To Be Extinguished
The forest land fire on the slopes of Mount Agung, in Karangasem Regency, Bali, has been confirmed to have been extinguished.
"Until 17.38 WITA there is no longer any. But there is strong winds here and hopefully there will be no hotspots above because they can live again. Hopefully there won't be any more burning coal," said Secretary of the Karangasem Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Putu Eka Tirtana, Thursday, October 5.
Until now, forest fires in Mount Agung have reached 715 hectares.
Meanwhile, forest land managed by residents or Forest Farmers Group (KTH) reportedly caught fire of around 25 are or 250 square meters.

"Those who hit were tall grass, elephant grass to eat cows, if the elephant field is here, the name is," he explained.
The most hotspots of forest fires occurred in Kubu District, Karangasem.
"Imbauan bagi masyarakat karena ini musim panas dan angin kencang kalau bakar sampah di lahan sebaiknya jangan. Karena takut ada hal yang tidak diinginkan dan untuk masyarakat pengelolaan hutan KPH kami sangat terima siat membantu sudah menjaga lahannya agar tidak terbakar," ujarnya.
