Choose Cak Imin To Be A Vice Presidential Candidate, PKS Hopes Anies Improves Communication With Coalition Partners
JAKARTA - Chairman of the PKS faction of the DPR, Jazuli Juwaini, highlighted the election of PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin as the assistant vice presidential candidate for the Coalition for Change for Unity, Anies Baswedan.
The reason is, the decision made the Democratic Party leave the coalition because Anies had asked General Chair Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) to become a vice presidential candidate. Recently, Anies was said to have no force to choose who his partner was because he was not the party chairman.
According to Jazuli, as a presidential candidate, Anies should communicate the important decision to his supporting political parties at the KPP. So that it is not considered a unilateral decision by the Democratic Party.
"Actually, something is the most important thing to communicate, this is not a revelation from heaven that can change. But what needs to be built is good communication. I think with that communication everything can be handled properly," said Jazuli at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 5.
In the future, Jazuli hopes that Anies and the supporting coalition political parties can improve communication to build trust.
"In the future, it should not be repeated. We build trust, meaning that this trust will still be built if we carry people," he said.
"Yes, we are if our friends are like this. Before you get married, you discuss the two families of the candidates. It's different if'tomorrow you will marry this', right?," added Jazuli.
"But for PKS because it prioritizes the interests of the nation and state and togetherness, we just give you a note. Future communication is improved. That's it," he continued.
Regarding whether or not PKS agreed with Anies and NasDem's decision, Jazuli said, PKS could not make unilateral decisions because it had to be based on the applicable mechanism. Namely, we have to discuss it first at the shuro assembly deliberation.
"Agreed, disagreed, I can personally say I agree but institutionally we have to look at the mechanism," he said.
"This party is the boss's institution, I can't agree 'eh signed' can't, this is not a good system then," said Jazuli.
VOIR éGALEMENT:
Previously, Anies Baswedan's spokesman, Sudirman Said, denied Anies' assumption of treason by choosing Cak Imin as a vice presidential candidate, even though he had written to ask AHY to be his partner in the 2024 presidential election.
"What happened between the two was not the act of treason with each other, but the good intentions and commitment to work together who had not met the momentum," said Sudirman in his statement, Monday, September 4.
According to Sudirman, Anies did not have the power to force AHY to become his assistant vice presidential candidate. Therefore, Anies approved the NasDem party's decision to elect Cak Imin as a vice presidential candidate.
"Both of them have limitations in making it happen, especially Mas Anies, who is not a certain party administrator or cadre, so he does not have the power to force him to decide what to choose from," he added.
