Cak Imin's Examination Today Is Canceled, The KPK Schedules A Call For Next Week
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) canceled examining Muhaimin Iskandar today, Tuesday, September 5. This is because he has sent a letter asking for a rescheduling of the examination as a witness in the corruption case in the procurement of the Indonesian labor protection system (TKI) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker).
"The KPK investigating team has received a confirmation letter from this witness and cannot attend because there is another agenda elsewhere," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, September 5.
Cak Imin, continued Ali, also immediately asked to be questioned on Thursday, September 7 tomorrow. However, investigators cannot grant it and schedule a recall next week.
The reason is that investigators have other tasks that must be carried out. Among them are conducting searches to find evidence.
"Therefore, the investigative team will reschedule the summons to this witness next week," he said.
"So it's not Thursday, September 7 as requested by the witness, but investigators are scheduled for next week," continued Ali.
Previously, the anti-corruption commission would ask for information from Cak Imin because he had served as Minister of Manpower for the 2009-2014 period in the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's leadership. However, the General Chairperson of the National Awakening Party (PKB) could not attend because he had to visit the scheduled event.
"I have been scheduled by Jami'atul Quro' friend wal Huffadz (JQH) of the organization of hafiz and qori Quran NU, so I have been scheduled for a long time to open the MTQ International forum from many countries, as deputy chairman of the DPR I have to open it," said Cak Imin, quoted from Najwa Shihab's Youtube account which aired on Monday night, September 4.
This reason made Cak Imin ask the KPK to postpone the examination. In the future, he ensures that he will be present to fulfill the investigator's summons and is ready to explain whatever he knows.
"I have to respect and fully support all KPK measures. I am committed, that's why I was asked to come by the KPK several times, I came and I explained everything," he said.
In the case of corruption in the TKI protection system, the KPK said that three suspects had been named. Although not yet announced, the Secretary of the Planning and Development Agency of the Ministry of Manpower I Nyoman Darmanta is reportedly involved.
