Kudus Police Investigate Allegations Of Methamphetamine Network After Arresting 2 Drug Perpetrators

KUDUS - Kudus Resort Police (Polres) investigated allegations of narcotics networks regarding the arrest of two perpetrators of drug abuse of methamphetamine related to each other.

"The two perpetrators were arrested on August 23, 2023, with the initials Mi (29) from Cilegon, Banten and MR (27) from Sukolilo District, Pati Regency," said Kudus Police Chief AKBP Dydit Dwi Susanto in Kudus, Central Java, Friday, August 25, confiscated by Antara.

Dydit revealed that the arrests of the two perpetrators began with the arrest of the perpetrator with the initials Mi who lives in Jekulo District in the gas station area of Jalan Lingkar Timur, Jati District.

From the results of a search of MI, it was found that a clip package containing clear crystals was suspected of having methamphetamine, as well as securing evidence of 1 unit of digital scales, 1 motorbike, and 1 device unit.

"Evidence of methamphetamine was found in the pocket of the front pants and a digital scale device that was placed on the dashboard of the perpetrator's motorbike," he said.

From the examination, continued Dydit, MI admitted to getting the illicit goods from someone with the initials MR.

"It turns out that both of them are a network that gets the illicit goods," he said.

After the development of the investigation, MR was finally secured at his house on the same day. Meanwhile, the evidence that was secured was in the form of a plastic clip containing crystalline powder suspected of being methamphetamine and 1 unit of telephone.

Dydit emphasized that his party will continue to develop investigations to reveal other perpetrators related to the two suspects.

For his actions, MI and MR perpetrators were threatened with Article 114 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 112 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum imprisonment of 12 years.
