Digdaya Against Yangon United, PSM Makassar Seal Tickets To The 2023/2024 AFC Cup Group Phase

GIANYAR - PSM Makassar won a ticket to the 2023/2024 AFC Cup group stage thanks to a 4-0 win over Yangon United in the qualifying round, Wednesday, August 23.

Competing at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar Regency, Bali, PSM immediately mastered the game. The team nicknamed Juku Eja did not give Yangon the opportunity to develop the game.

Through a slick collaboration between players, Adilson Gancho scored the first goal for PSM through a close-range shot.

Coach Bernardo Tavares' son continued to attack the opposing team and block the Lions' efforts, the nickname of the Myanmar team to break into PSM's goal.

The visitors tried to get up and take advantage of goal chances but failed to create including the striker's kick, Jose Adolfo but the ball bounced over the PSM goal.

PSM then returned Yangon's attack through a goal presented by Everton Nascimento in the 35th minute.

The striker with the number 10 back easily dribbled until he nested in a goal that goalkeeper could not anticipate, Sann Sat Naing.

Until the extra two minutes in the first half, PSM temporarily won 2-0 over Yangon until the two teams went down drinking.

Entering the second half which had only been running for six minutes, PSM Makassar again scored the third goal which was lodged in the Myanmar goal through the captain's shot, Yakob Sayuri.

The close-range shot from the right side of the Yangon United goal by PSM midfielder was inevitable by goalkeeper Sann Sat Naing in the 51st minute.

Yangon coach, Gerd Zeise then replaced several of his players, one of which was Oakkar Naing and included Min Kyaw Khant.

However, efforts to add fresh ammunition did not last long because PSM again scored the fourth goal through Adilson Gancho's kick in the 60th minute, after using Dzaky Asraf's pass.

Yangon United could not catch up after the scoreboard remained 4-0 for PSM until the game ended.
