SBY Attends Proclamation Seconds In Hometown
PACITAN - 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and Chairman of the Demokat Party High Council were seen attending the ceremony to commemorate the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia and the seconds of reading the proclamation at the Pacitan Regency Hall, East Java, Thursday.
This is the umpteenth time that SBY has followed the proclamation of seconds at Pacitan, rather than attending a ceremony at the State Palace.
SBY arrived at Pendopo at around 09.58 WIB accompanied by his two sons, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono and Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono.
SBY sat in the honorary chair in the front row, side by side with Pacitan Regent Indrata Nur Bayuaji, who was in the pavilion building. Meanwhile, the flag ceremony was held right on the front page.
At the end of the ceremony, SBY greeted the other invited guests he went through, before leaving the ceremony location.
"Happy independence anniversary to all of us. May Indonesia be more advanced and prosperous. Hopefully in the future Pacitan can produce superior human resources, which can contribute to the development and progress of our beloved country," said SBY while closing both palms in front of the chest accompanied by his head slightly lowering the sign of respect.

The presence of this national figure who was born in Pacitan also inevitably received appreciation from the people of Pacitan.
Deputy Regent of Pacitan Gagarin Sumrbah expressed the happiness of the people of Pacitan for the presence of SBY at the commemoration ceremony of the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in Pacitan Regency.
"And this is certainly very proud. For us, the Pacitan Regency Government (Pemkab), for all citizens and the people of Pacitan Regency, is very proud. Hopefully (his presence) will bring blessings to the community and the Pacitan Earth," he said, quoted from ANTARA, Thursday, August 17.
SBY's presence to Pacitan this time is a series of preparations for the inauguration of the SBY*ANI Museum and Gallery.
