MG Motor Indonesia Will Build Cars In Indonesia
JAKARTA - Director of Marketing and Public Relations of MG Motor Indonesia, Arief Syarifudin, said that some of his vehicles will start to be produced locally in the first quarter of 2024.
However, MG Motor Indonesia has not provided information regarding which models will be assembled locally in Indonesia. However, MG Motor Indonesia in the country has a fairly complete vehicle variant ranging from sedans to SUVs.
"We are proud that our products will begin to be produced locally in Q1, 2024," Arief told reporters at ICE BSD, as quoted by Antara.
Not only that, the company that has just celebrated its 100th anniversary is also quite active in presenting various environmentally friendly vehicles or electric vehicles in the country.
MG Motor Indonesia is still studying what vehicles are indeed popular with Indonesian consumers before deciding the vehicle to be produced locally.
"Our focus is that we are still in the five line-ups that we currently have, and we will continue to monitor the demand for us to be able to localize the production," Arief explained.
MG Motor Indonesia at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) officially presents its newest line of electrification vehicles, the MG New ZS.
Vehicles that have not been announced are equipped with various features as well as superior technology in their class such as planting the IMAX Panoramic Sunroof which ensures stylized driving pleasure and of course comfortable.

For power, MG presents the vehicle using a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 50.3 kWh with a distance of 403 kilometers. With the distance it has, Arief claims that the MG New ZS EV is reliable for the daily mobility of its users.
MG has also embedded features and technologies such as through a 10 inch infotainment system facility, an immersive 3D sound from the 6-speaker sound system, wireless phone charging system, and is equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android smartphone multimedia connecting systems connectivity.
MG also provides Smart Check features, where consumers can check vehicle conditions in real-time and Smart Connect to ensure consumers are connected to the outside world. Then there is also the Smart Drive feature, semi-autonomous driving technology with maximum comfort, and Smart Command, easy driving settings through sound.
In terms of security, MG ensures that this latest vehicle has passed the hit test by obtaining a 5-star rating from EURO NCAP through its best features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, Tire Pressure Monitor System, Lane Change Assist, Auto Vehicle Hold.
MG Motor Indonesia will announce the price of the MG New ZS EV in November.
