Intention Of 9 Illegal PMIs To Malaysia Failed, The Ship Was Intercepted By The Police In Sinaboi Riau Waters
RIAU - A total of nine prospective illegal Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) failed to leave for Malaysia. They were prevented in the waters of Sinaboi, Rokan Hilir (Rohil) Regency, Riau.
Head of the Public Relations Section of the Rokan Hilir (Rohil) Police, AKP Juliandi, said that his party had arrested two men with the initials S (47) and Z (35) who were suspected of being responsible for the departure of the 9 illegal PMI candidates.
"This disclosure began when the Customs and Excise ship carried out patrols around Sinaboi waters and secured two ships, namely KM Ilham Jaya and KM Berkat on Saturday (July 22)," he said when confirmed from Pekanbaru, Wednesday, July 26, which was confiscated by Antara.

After further inspection, from KM Ilham Jaya, a SPB document was found from Bagan Readyiapi to Portklang, Malaysia. On the ship, 1,800 mangrove logs were also found.
Meanwhile, the results of the Rohil Police inspection on the KM Berkat ship found 2,000 sticks of wood and nine prospective illegal migrant workers in Malaysia. They come from various regions in Indonesia.
"They were dispatched by wooden cargo ship as workers abroad illegally," added Juliandi.
Currently, S and Z, who are the captain and crew of the ship, have been secured at the Rohil Police Headquarters for further legal proceedings.
