Culinary City, Bogor City Government Asked To Concentrate On Halal Certified Food And Drinks
JAKARTA - As a culinary city, Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI Diah Pitaloka encouraged the Bogor City Government to concentrate on pursuing halal certification for MSMEs, restaurants and other businesses according to the central government's target.
Diah Pitaloka conveyed that in order to support the competitive nil of Bogor City as a culinary city, the government can concentrate with the Halal Product Guarantee Administration Agency (BPJPH).
Among them are helping to prepare halal certification facilities such as laboratories checking the halalness of products, socialization and education of related entrepreneurs and human resources.
"The point is that it is a halal certificate, Bogor is a culinary city and in 2024 all products must be halal," said Diah.
Diah Pitaloka who encouraged MSME actors when they received a certificate from BPJHP which he represented in the handover stated that the Bogor City culinary actually had a lot of interest in people.
However, the challenge of BPJPH to work on the 10,000 free halal certification target in Bogor City this year is still quite a lot, the same as other regions.
According to Diah, in general the challenge includes the scope of business actors who must be served and receive socialization, halal sweeping capacity, increasing service equipment, especially in the regions, which must be a joint concentration between BPJHP and local governments.

He said, many reports reached the council that business actors admitted that they were still confused about where to register and how to and how to cost.
"So there is still a need for massive socialization for this halal label service, as well as this halal education to the public. Actually, not only micro and small businesses, but also medium, upper enterprises, this of course also requires more intense, massive, fast, halal product services," said Diah.
