In the action, Muhamat Irpan Hasmi did not act alone. He was assisted by a colleague with the initials AW (DPO). The two of them came to the victim's cellphone counter on Jalan Kramat Jaya Baru IV.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Johar Baru Police, AKP Yossy Januar, said that previously his party had received a report of a theft case at the TKP. Then members of the Johar Baru Police Criminal Investigation Unit checked the scene.

Based on the victim's statement, at the time of the incident, his cellphone counter shop was left shopping. However, the counter was only covered with a banner.

"After finishing shopping, the victim caught the MIH perpetrator taking 11 cellphones and a power bank that was placed on the side seat of the storefront. After successfully taking 11 cellphones and a power bank, but when he was about to bring all the cellphones he put on the storefront, the perpetrator was caught red-handed by the victim assisted by local residents," said AKP Yossy when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, July 20.

Meanwhile, a colleague with the initials AW managed to escape using a motorbike belonging to Muhamat Irpan Hasmi. For further processing, the perpetrator Muhamat Irpan Hasmi was finally taken to the Johar Baru Police Headquarters.

"For the time being, the perpetrator (player) is a beginner. This perpetrator is desperate to steal because he is crazy about slot gambling. He plans that if this is successful, he wants to sell his cellphone, he wants a depot for slot gambling. The perpetrator lost the slot before stealing," he said.

Meanwhile, the perpetrator with the initials AW is still being chased by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Johar Baru Police. While the MIH perpetrator has not worked, he is unemployed. MIH players have been a slot-type gambling addict for years.

"The perpetrator of MIH was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 5 years and over," he said.
