Conor McGregor Accused Of Sexual Harassment
JAKARTA Mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor faces charges of sexually harassing a woman during the NBA final match between the Miami Heat of Denver Nuggets earlier this month.
The victim's lawyer said McGregor violently attacked the victim in the toilet at the Kaseya Center, Florida. The 34-year-old fighter allegedly tried to kiss the victim aggressively before forcing her to have sexual activity.
However, McGregor's lawyer Barbara Llanes has denied the allegations. "The allegations are not true. Mr. McGregor will not be intimidated," the lawyer said as reported by Al Jazeera.
Police in Miami confirmed that a special unit was investigating the victim's report filed on Sunday. Miami Heat and the NBA are also investigating the case after learning about the report.
"We are aware of the allegations and are conducting an investigation. Waiting for the results of the investigation, we will withhold further comment," Heat said in a statement.
In the report letter, a female lawyer named Ariel Mitchell said security for the team and the NBA forced the woman into the toilet where McGregor and his security guards were waiting.

McGregor was actually directed to pretend to fight with the Miami Heat mascot during a product promotion event. Bernie walked onto the pitch wearing a boxing sarong as if he were going to challenge McGregor.
During the duel, McGregor hit Bernie until he was unconscious. The 34-year-old fighter then clarified himself completely by accident to injure the mascot.
McGregor, who was ridiculed by many spectators at the NBA match, has not fought since his left leg injury when he lost to Dustin Poirier in July 2021. His last win came in January 2020.
