Director Of The Jakarta Hajj Hospital Resigns

JAKARTA - President Director (Managing Director) of the Jakarta Hajj Hospital Dr. dr. Bayu Wahyudi submitted a letter of resignation from his position as of today.

"In fact, starting June 12, 2023, I will submit an application to resign as President Director of the Jakarta Hajj Hospital, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta," Bayu said in his official letter reported by ANTARA, Monday, June 12.

The reason for Bayu's resignation is because he feels tired and is not in accordance with the work environment, and feels that what he is doing is not in accordance with the principles of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) or science. In addition, the work experience that has been held so far cannot be applied at the Jakarta Hajj Hospital.

"During his tenure as President Director in accordance with the Decree of the Chancellor of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta number 36 of 2023 dated January 27, 2023 concerning the Appointment of the President Director of the Jakarta Hajj Hospital, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta from February 1 to June 9, 2023, I have tried to implement good governance with transparency, accountability, and fairness in accordance with applicable regulations," he said.

In the letter, Bayu reported an outline of the problems found and efforts to repair at the Jakarta Hajj Hospital, which has been too complex since 2004.

Ada 10 poin permasalahan yang disampaikan, pertama yakni status hukum bentuk PT RS Haji Jakarta (liquidasi) tidak sesuai dengan UU Rumah Rumah Nomor 44 tahun 2009, kedua yakni utang yang belum terbayarkan hingga 1 Februari 2023 berkisar Rp 82,9 miliar.

Third, there has been a deficit since 2004 with an average of IDR 2.120 billion per month. Fourth, there was a management error in managing the hospital.

Fifth, hospital accreditation has run out as of June 11, 2022 and reccreditation must be carried out no later than December 2023 in accordance with the discretion of the Minister of Health. Sixth, the number of employees tends to be excessive in February 2023 as many as 657 people, with the amount of HR costs expenditure of 93.77 percent of total revenue in 2022.

Seventh, inadequate medical device facilities and infrastructure, both quality and quantity. Eighth, the management of State Property Assets (BMN) is not optimal and tends not to comply with the provisions.

Ninth, employees who often demonstrate due to their rights are not fulfilled, and finally, the issue of employee lawsuits and debts with vendors.

Bayu has also attached the efforts that have been made during his tenure as President Director to UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, namely reports and accountability for 100 working days of the President Director, writings on handling the crisis at the Jakarta Hajj Hospital, accreditation proposals, and Budget Business Plans (RBA) in 2023.

Previously, on Friday (9/6) the Jakarta Hajj Hospital Workers Union held a demonstration demanding employee rights, and continued with the second follow-up action which was held today, Monday (12/6) with the same demands.

Special Staff to the Minister of Religion Wibowo Prasetyo said the aspirations of employees of the Jakarta Hajj Hospital are in the process of being completed by the Jakarta State Islamic University (UIN) as the manager of the hospital.

"Mr. Chancellor of UIN Jakarta has reported that the Trade Union has been well received and it has resulted in an understanding that currently what is the aspiration of fellow employees is in the process of being resolved," said Wibowo.
