PPP: Information On The Flow Of Bribe Funds To The 2022 Congress Is Not Valid

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPP United Development Party (PPP) Achmad Baidowi said information related to the bribery fund of former Pemalang Regent Mukti Agung Wibowo flowing to the 2022 PPP Congress should be questioned because it is invalid.

"Information about the flow of funds from the suspect to the PPP congress is questionable, aka invalid," said Awiek, Baidowi's nickname, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 6.

Awiek admitted that his party did not know anything about this, because the 2022 PPP Congress did not exist. "There is a PPP Congress in 2020," he said.

According to him, this information inactivity should be a concern for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) so as not to provide inaccurate information.

He said PPP was very supportive and committed to eradicating corruption.

"We respect the legal process so that we completely leave it to the legal mechanism," he said.

Previously reported, the KPK detained three of the seven suspects in the alleged bribery case of buying and selling positions within the Pemalang Regency Government, Central Java, involving the former Pemalang Regent Mukti Agung Wibowo.

The bribery and gratification case of the former Pemalang Regent for the period 2021-2026 Mukti Agung Wibowo occurred while changing composition and rotation at several levels of office in Pemalang Regency Government.

Mukti then entrusted PD Aneka Usaha Commissioner Adi Jumal Widodo to manage project arrangements including regulating the rotation, transfer and promotion of ASN in Pemalang Regency Government.

The money amounting to around Rp. 650 million was collected, then termed "grey money" and then used by Adi Jumal Widodo to finance various needs of Mukti Agung Wibowo, including to support the activities of the PPP Congress in Makassar in 2022.
