Mohamed Salah Disappointed Liverpool Failed To Champions League, Jurgen Klopp TOLD Fans: Don't Worry
JAKARTA - Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is confident that Mohamed Salah will survive even though his team failed to break into the 2023/2024 Champions League season. He believes Salah will not look for a new club just to appear in the Champions League.
Previously, the Egyptian admitted that he was very disappointed with his team's failure to finish in the top four of the English Premier League this season. He said there was no reason to understand this failure.
Salah's statement is widely interpreted as a signal that the player will leave Anfield. Although, the 30-year-old recently signed a new contract last summer.
"Don't worry, no. I only heard what he said but I couldn't read anything that could lead to that," Klopp said when asked if he was worried about Salah's future.
"Obviously Mo is happy to be here and Mo is part of this. He said he apologized for what 'we' did. Everything was fine," he continued.
Klopp himself admitted that he would not hesitate to release players who wanted to leave Liverpool to appear in the Champions League.
"If any players come to me and say, 'oh, we don't qualify for the Champions League, I have to go', I will take him to another club myself," said Klopp.

"I'm going to take the keys, (and say)'get into the car, where you want to go, I'm taking you'. It's going to be something I can never understand."
Klopp said if it was the mentality he got, he would also leave. He claimed to be ready to take responsibility for what happened.
"So you can't go at times like this. It's not the same with Mo, not at all, and no one else has told me. They asked if they could have had a longer vacation or anything, but no one asked me if after the holidays they should come back," said Klopp.
"So it wasn't in our talks. I saw him now in the dining room and he smiled. I don't know what the reason was because I didn't ask him, but his mood wasn't bad," he said again.
