8 Pesilat Become Suspects Of Chaos To Policeroyok In Jombang
Police officers from the Jombang Resort Police, East Java, arrested 119 fighters from two martial arts schools in Jombang Regency, as a result of rioting with alleged beatings and vandalism.
Head of the Jombang Police Investigation and Criminal Unit, AKP Aldo Febrianto, said that those arrested were children and adults.
"The Jombang Police and the Sector Police managed to secure a total of 119 pesilat personnel with details of 84 children and 35 adults," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 25.
He explained that the incident began with hundreds of fighters from two silat colleges carrying out convoys from the Sidoarjo area to Mojokerto.
They previously visited the Jetis Police, which entered the Mojokerto City Police, then shifted to the Jombang Regency area.
When they arrived in Kudu District, Jombang Regency, the convoy group acted to abuse the community and police officers who were carrying out security and isolation in the Kudu District area.
Two police officers who were on duty became victims. The first one suffered a leg wound as a result of being hit by a fighter who broke into the police while confronting the group.
Meanwhile, the second victim was beaten by a pesilat person while doing isolation.
At that time, police officers had explained that police officers were still being beaten. As a result of the beating, the victim suffered bruises on his face and had to undergo hospitalization.
In addition to beatings, they also damaged motorbikes belonging to the public who were passing by, damaged police patrol cars until the windshield broke and damaged the security post of a factory in Kudu District until the glass broke.

From the results of the examination, there were eight people who were later named as suspects. They are suspected of carrying out persecution to find targets for other university members.
"Currently, eight have been named as suspects," he said.
In addition, the police have also secured a number of evidences such as three rows, one sword, 45 motorcycles and stones of various sizes.
Currently, the suspects are still being held at the Jombang Police Headquarters for further investigation.
